About me
Elizabeth Bellardo is the founder of Good Work Endeavors, bringing over 20 years of senior leadership experience across the nonprofit and public sectors, with a career defined by leading through crises, building high-performing teams, and advancing humanitarian impact on a global scale.
From crisis zones in Sudan, Haiti, Myanmar, and Iraq to the decision rooms of Washington, DC, Elizabeth has led with integrity, clarity, and a deep belief that effective leadership must be both strategic and human-centered. Most recently, she served on the senior leadership team of the U.S. Government’s Humanitarian Bureau at USAID, where she oversaw a team of over 150 staff and managed a budget that peaked at over $200 million. Elizabeth played a key role in shaping U.S. humanitarian policy and partnership strategy, guiding the Bureau through periods of rapid expansion, deep budget cuts, and ultimately the complex dissolution of the agency, all while keeping teams aligned, mission-focused and making it a good place to work.
A seasoned crisis manager, Elizabeth has led emergency response teams and advised the White House, National Security Council, State Department, Department of Defense, and countless other U.S. agencies. She has represented the U.S. on international advisory boards of UN Agencies and non-profit organizations, and worked with global partners to advocate for the most vulnerable and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of principled humanitarian response.
Prior to government service, Elizabeth advanced policy, program, and technical efforts at InterAction, a nonprofit membership organization, where she worked to strengthen safeguarding practices, humanitarian response coordination, and pandemic preparedness across international NGOs. Her work has included training and consulting across the U.S., Canada, Europe, Africa, and Asia, helping organizations evolve their leadership, culture, and accountability systems.
At Good Work Endeavors, Elizabeth now channels this global, high-stakes experience into coaching and consulting that empowers leaders to meet challenges with authenticity, build inclusive and resilient teams, and drive meaningful results, even in the most complex environments.
